The Voice

As I'm sitting here watching The Voice, one of my favorite TV shows, it dawned on me that I'm living out my own dream. The past couple of weeks have been hectic mentally as I've finally put my first collection of poetry, 'Drowning.' up for presales.

I'm terrified beyond anything. So I did a thing, I notified followers on Instagram that it was open and seven hours later, I took down the notification. I don't know why. Something inside of me didn't want readers to feel obligated to me or my work.

I'm having a hard time defining my worth as a writer and poet, and I don't know if this is something that will naturally come over time but either way, I'll find my voice in real time.
